TAC COVID-19 PROTOCOLS

The Artist Collective references the guidelines of the CDC regarding Covid-19 safety protocols. These protocols and guidelines are subject to change as safety allows and TAC will stay up-to-date with the latest government mandates and rules. TAC will not close if there is a case of COVID-19 at the studio, but will follow the below protocols to ensure health and safety for all involved.

  • All dancers and teachers must wear masks over their mouth and nose at all times. Bandanas, masks with valves and face shields are not permitted.

  • All dancers will have their temperatures taken before entering the studio each day they are at TAC for group classes.

  • All teachers will take their own temperatures at the start of their work day.

  • Any parent, siblings, guardians or caregivers must wear masks when in the TAC space including the outdoor patio.

  • Masks, hand sanitizer, hand soap and cleaning supplies will be readily available at TAC for student and teacher use.

  • Teachers will sanitize their hands before giving physical or hands on corrections to a student.

  • Anyone with a temperature of 100.3 degrees or higher will not be permitted in the studio.

  • Dancers must bring a bag to hold their personal belongings as well as have a personal water bottle for their use during classes. Sharing of water bottles is not permitted.

  • If anyone is experiencing symptoms of Covid-19 such as coughing, fever or chills, they are asked to stay home and get tested for Covid-19. Dancers are permitted to return to dance with a negative Covid-19 test.

  • Any snack breaks will occur on the outside patio when dancers are without a mask. Dancers will not eat in the studio or remove their masks when in the indoor studio space with the exception of a quick sip of water.

  • Weather permitting, the windows and doors in Studio 1 and 2 will be opened for outside air ventilation.

  • The TAC studio space is professionally cleaned twice a week and professionally Covid-19 sanitized once a week along with daily maintenance and cleaning by TAC staff.

  • Dancers and teachers are asked to stay home if they or anyone in their household has been exposed to someone with Covid-19 within the last 10 days.

  • Dancers and teachers are asked to stay home if they exhibit any symptoms of Covid-19 or have tested positive for Covid-19.

  • If a dancer or teacher tests positive for Covid-19, the dancers and teachers who have been in contact with them will be informed promptly.

    • Individuals who are vaccinated and in a mask are not required to quarantine if they come into contact with someone who tests positive for Covid-19 per the CDC. TAC will not require a dancer to quarantine if they are in the same class as a dancer who tests positive if they are vaccinated, however the decision will be left up to the parent regarding testing and quarantining. Any dancers unvaccinated who have been exposed, are asked to get a Covid-19 test to ensure they have not been infected.

  • We will not hold virtual classes as the priority for TAC is to provide an in-person dance experience. Our classes are kept under capacity to allow for social distancing. In the instance that government guidelines change, we may adjust rehearsal or combined class sizes if necessary.

  • Teachers will enforce these guidelines and protocols when at TAC and working with TAC students. All situations surrounding Covid-19 that may occur at TAC will be handled professionally and respectfully. We will work together as a community to keep everyone as safe, healthy and informed as possible!
